Office Manager

  • Financial Administration: Handling basic bookkeeping, invoicing, and managing payments related to rentals and events.

  • Event Coordination Support: Assisting with the booking, scheduling, and contract management for fairgrounds rentals (like buildings, grounds, and RV spots).

  • Records Management: Maintaining official files, calendars, and ensuring all permits and documentation are up-to-date.

  • Customer Service: Serving as the primary point of contact for the public, vendors, and event organizers, answering inquiries and providing information about the facilities and events.

Community Outreach Coordinator

  • Public Relations & Communication: Serving as the main contact for the media and public, managing the organization's public image, and promoting the fairgrounds and its events.

  • Sponsor & Partner Relations: Identifying, cultivating, and securing partnerships and sponsorships with local businesses and corporations to support fairground events and facilities.

  • Grant Management: Researching, writing, submitting, and managing grants from government, foundations, and private sources to secure funding for operations, improvements, and programs.

Maintenance and Improvement (Part-Time)

  • Maintenance: Focuses on preserving the current condition by preventing breakdowns, performing routine repairs (e.g., fixing leaks), and conducting preventative upkeep (e.g., HVAC service) to keep everything in proper working order.

  • Improvement: Focuses on upgrading and adding new assets to increase efficiency, capacity, and appeal through major renovations, new construction projects, and modernization efforts.

Audio/Visual & Social Media Marketing (Part-Time)

  • Responsible for the management and maintenance of all core technology infrastructure (A/V, networking, security), alongside the creation and execution of the social media strategy to promote the Fairgrounds' events and services.

  • Managing, operating, and troubleshooting event-specific audio/video systems, overseeing the computer network and security cameras, and creating engaging content for and managing all social media channels.

Janitorial Crew (Part-Time)

  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and presentability of all indoor and outdoor areas of the Fairgrounds, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all staff, vendors, and visitors.

  • Key Focus: Performing regular cleaning, trash removal, stocking supplies, and preparing facilities (buildings, restrooms, and grounds) before, during, and after events.

Summer Internship (Part-Time)

  • Provides a temporary, immersive, and educational opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience supporting various departments across the Fairgrounds during the peak event season.

  • Assisting with event logistics, administrative tasks, public outreach, and day-to-day operations, while learning the fundamental skills required for fairground management and non-profit administration.
